Rebecca Foster founded Proof Workshop in 2017. Rebecca is a teaching artist whose cross-disciplinary studio practice employs printmedia, drawing, photography, and experiential work. Trained as a printmaker, Rebecca has collaborated on the production of a limited edition, hand-sewn Louise Bourgeois artist’s book and worked for a boutique graphic design firm in Manhattan. For the last ten years Rebecca has taught courses in printmaking, drawing, painting and design at several colleges in the Bay Area including California College of the Arts and San Francisco Art Institute. Rebecca earned an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA and BA from Cornell University. She believes that engaging in making and process itself is an artform and that exploring unfamiliar methods and mediums open channels for unexpected
innovation and insight.
